Toni Gaines, LPCC-S, T-CADC

Welcome! My name is Toni Gaines and I am the owner/lead therapist of Gaines and Associates. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Temporary Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (T-CADC), and Certified Accelerated Resolution Therapist (ART). I have a vast amount of experience in mental health, crisis intervention and substance abuse. I currently work with individuals, families and couples who are seeking therapeutic services and/or have substance abuse issues. We are certified to satisfy state DUI requirements and provide relief to individuals suffering from substance abuse disorders. My wide range of experience provides me the unique ability to provide individualized treatment for each of my clients.  I believe in an empathetic, self-empowering approach to therapy which will provide the client with sufficient education and resources necessary to live a more satisfying life. Outside of the office I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two dogs. I look forward to meeting you and empowering your life’s journey.




Daven Mansfield

Hello! My name is Daven Mansfield and I am Case Manager at Gaines and Associates. As a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University, I have used my degree in Correctional and Juvenile Justice to advocate for both children and adults in the region. My experience working as a Crisis Intervention Specialist and Case Manager has given me more than a decade of invaluable experience in aiding clients with resources and support. My services include targeted case management for improving socialization and recreational skills, financial assistance for food, shelter and clothing, family and individual crisis intervention and providing family resources to aid in proper development. In my free time I enjoy the outdoors, going to the beach and spending time with my family and our Yorkie, Bella. I look forward to working with you as you prepare to live the life you’ve dreamed!


Ashley Christman

Ashley Christman is a Case Manager with Gains and Associates. She is a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University and specializes in therapeutic recreation. Her passion is to help others achieve individual growth and aide them with the resources they need to succeed. Her hobbies include, singing, playing the piano, and spending time with her family.



Heather Petty, CSW

Hello! My name is Heather Petty and I am a therapist at Gaines and Associates. I am a graduate of Campbellsville University with an Associates in Science, Bachelors in Social Work and Masters in Social Work. I am licensed as a Certified Social Worker.I have years of experience working in Crisis Stabilization and Family Preservation. I enjoy working with adults and children individually, as families, as couples and in groups that have experienced trauma, struggling with depression, anxiety, PTSD, behavior issues and substance abuse. My goal in therapy is to help each individual learn to live their best life. Outside of the office I enjoy spending time with my blended family. We love all things outdoors but camping is our favorite!


Mary Alysia Foster M.Ed., LPCA

Mary completed her master’s and undergrad Degree at Lindsey Wilson College.  She has over 15 years of experience across a variety of settings in the human services and human development field including social work, crisis intervention, case management, in home programs as well as community support.

Mary’s approach emphasizes the mutual development of goals for therapy, provision of ongoing evaluation of the therapeutic approach while adding personal support for client success.  Services can include individual, couples, family, and group therapy across the lifespan. Mary is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Reality Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and Crisis Intervention. She continues to pursue ongoing updates to her services and knowledge base. Mary emphasizes the willingness and importance of being able to modify theoretic methods for client need and success.  Mary is invested in an approach emphasizing a more integrative, energetic, and supportive approach to mental health.


Troy Mansfield, BSW, T-CADC

Hello! My name is Troy Mansfield and I am an case manager at G&A.  I have worked in the mental health and substance abuse field for the last six years and look forward to continuing my career post graduation. I am a Nationally Certified Intervention Professional and have years of experience working with those struggling with substance abuse issues.

I am also involved in social advocacy, civil rights advocacy and promote equity in the mental health field and reform in the criminalization of substance abuse. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and rooting on the Kentucky Wildcats!


Jason Coffey, LPCC

Jason Coffey is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and a Temporary Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. He has experience working with those that have experienced trauma, depression and substance use problems. He also works with individuals that identify as LGBTQ+ to assist in becoming happy with who they are. Jason spends his free time outside, in the garden and riding motorcycles.


Joseph Armstrong, LPCC-S

Joseph has worked as a Licensed Clinical Associate for two years and as a Fully Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor for 6 years. He graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a Bachelor’s in psychology, continued into the master’s program at Eastern Kentucky University for mental health counseling Under a CACREP accredited Program, which sets standards for providing education in the field of Counseling. Between the two Degree is he made the Dean’s list, lectured on group counseling, Lectured on the DSM-V and Grief loss. Joseph also has extensive training in Mindfulness practices and is a supervisor for individuals seeking full licensure in the mental health field.

Joseph has experience in counseling at the individual and group settings, assessments, substance abuse, Parenting, life change, grief loss, suicide ideations, self-harm, and relationship issues. He focuses on affirming and supporting individuals to find themselves and move past conflict with a better insight on themselves through CBT, Mindfulness Practices, and building coping skills.
